Journal Awards

Awards are given for:

  •  Best Content Article for Elementary;
  •  Best Secondary Teaching Article;
  •  Best College/University Article;
  •  Best Article for Geography Program Development

Authors of winning papers will receive a plaque at the 2013 National Conference on Geography Education in Denver, CO in August 2013.

Please note that not all awards are given each year.  Papers must be from the 2012 volume of issues to be considered.  Nominations may be made by colleagues or may be self-nominations. NCGE members are encouraged to forward their suggestions to NCGE at awards@ncge.org. When submitting a suggestion, please place "Journal of Geography Award Recommendations" in the subject line header.
