Geography 2050: Toward a More Equitable Future
November 15 @ 9:00 am - November 19 @ 3:00 pm
Join the American Geographical Society as we convene leaders in the field to discuss and confront the geographical dimensions of inequality. We will focus on the geographical dimensions of inequality. We acknowledge that nothing on our planet is equally distributed, nor would the world be a better place if they were. Still, we understand the pernicious role that certain kinds of inequality can play in undermining a more equitable future. At Geography 2050, we seek to influence the trends shaping our planet’s future by critically examining the forces creating and reinforcing these landscapes of inequality and address what can be done to mitigate those factors that impede human progress.
