The Children’s Map Competition takes place every two years. Entries can be nominated in four age groups: under 6 years, 6-8 years, 9-12 years, and 13-15 years. The top 6 winning maps from the U.S. National Competition will be submitted to the international competition (currently scheduled for December 2021).
The deadline for participation in the United States National Competition is April 15, 2021.
Join presenters Dierdre Bevington-Attardi, Geography Division, U.S. Census Bureau; and Aileen Buckley, The Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS) to learn more and see examples of past winners.
