Ridgefield is one of the fastest growing cities in Washington state and quickly transitioning from a rural community to a suburb of Portland, Oregon, which gives her lots of opportunity to teach Human Geography just looking out of her classroom window. Ms. V\u00e9lez&#8217;s teaching philosophy centers on hands-on, project-based learning (PBL), placing students at the forefront of their educational journey. She believes in creating immersive learning experiences, including educational field trips to historical sites, to foster a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
