DAY 1 - Friday, October 18

Registration and check-in table is located in the pre-function Palms Ballroom area on the main floor of the Mission Palms Hotel. NCGE staff and volunteers will be available to assist you with obtaining your conference pass/badge and answer questions

Explore the geography and culture of Tempe, Arizona, through exciting field trips coordinated by the Arizona Geographic Alliance, offering informative and enjoyable excursions that will take full advantage of everything Tempe and the surrounding area has to offer.

The Partner Network, an initiative by the National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE), is designed to strengthen geography education across the U.S. by building a network of state, local, and regional partners. This effort involves geography leaders from across the nation collaborating to enhance the reach and effectiveness of geography education. The workshop comprises a three-part series focusing on key organizational areas: building capacity, enhancing communication platforms, and boosting volunteer engagement, among other topics. This strategic initiative aims to foster collaboration and share resources among geography educators and institutions.

We invite you to join us for the welcome address from NCGE President, Thomas Larsen, and to celebrate the NCGE 2024 Award Recipients. Cocktails and heavy  hors d’oeuvres will be served.  Doors open at 5:30 pm with Awards Ceremony beginning at 6:00 pm.

DAY 2 - Saturday, October 19

We are pleased to inform all attendees that a continental breakfast will be provided for your convenience.  This breakfast option will offer a selection of light and delicious morning fare to help you start your day right. Enjoy a variety of muffins & pastries, sliced seasonal fruit, and beverages to fuel up before the day’s events. We look forward to serving you a delightful continental breakfast to kickstart your day.

Charles Regan, Executive Director,  along with the Leadership Team will present the State of the Organization and share NCGE’s vision for the coming year. A breakfast buffet will be served with the Keynote beginning at 9:00 a.m.
