 21st Century Fund

The Mission Continues

During the successful six years of NCGE’s 21st Century Fund, the Council established a permanent endowment for the Council. From 1994 until January 2001, the Fund attracted the support of individuals and organizations with a firm belief in NCGE’s mission to strengthen geographic education at all levels. As the 21st Century Fund campaign ended and the new millennium began, NCGE renewed its fundraising effort as The Mission Continues.

The Mission Continues campaign goal of one million dollars will be met within six years, by 2008. The campaign aims to double the number of individual participants sending donations or making pledges and payments online. Participants are encouraged to earmark a contribution for a special purpose in Mentor or Founder Funds, which honor outstanding geography educators. Gifts of other assets are also welcome. Corporate donors also have wider options for contributing to The Mission Continues.
