The Colorado Geographic Alliance was founded in 1986 by the National Geographic Society and geographers in Colorado. Our main objective was to provide resources and professional development for elementary and secondary school teachers, ensuring the public understands the rationale behind comprehensive geography education throughout the State of Colorado. This website is being kept online for educational and historical purposes. Though accurate at the time of publication (2018), the content of COGA webpages are no longer being updated.
