is the journal of the National Council for Geographic Education.

The Journal of Geography provides a forum to present innovative approaches to geography research, teaching, and learning. The Journal publishes original studies, critical reviews, case insights, methods, and evaluations of books.

Peer Review Policy

All articles submitted to this journal undergo a “double-anonymous” peer review by one to three referees. Book Reviews are reviewed by the Book Review Editor.

A subscription to the Journal of Geography is a valuable benefit of NCGE membership. The Journal is available in 1200 libraries in the United States and over 200 libraries in other countries.

Subscription Information

Subscriptions are available for libraries and institutions. Institutional subscriptions include six issues of the Journal of Geography, and four issues of The Geography Teacher each year.
