October 17 @ 3:10 PM - 4:45 PM

Summary

This interactive workshop is designed for preservice and new to the classroom teachers who want to build confidence and creativity in teaching geography. Participants will explore practical, engaging strategies for bringing geographic concepts to life in diverse classroom settings. The session emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and real-world connections that help students understand the importance of geography in their daily lives.

The workshop will feature a classroom teacher panel, where experienced educators share insights, challenges, and successful approaches from their own practice. Preservice teachers will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable perspectives on effective geography instruction.
